The Windy City’s Wind Advocate

On Thursday, President Obama will tout the benefits of wind energy in front of a facility owned by a manufacturer with ties to his administration. The Heritage Foundation’s Lachlan Markay reports.

At the manufacturing facilities of TPI Composites, Obama will tout the need for continued federal "investment" in wind energy, according to the Des Moines Register.

TPI has some notable connections to the White House through Element Partners, one of its key investors. One of Element’s operating partners is former Pennsylvania Governor and Democratic National Committee chairman Ed Rendell. …

During his tenure as governor, Rendell appointed Kathleen McGinty as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. McGinty is also an operating partner at Element. …

Dr. Karl Hausker, McGinty’s husband, is a former deputy assistant administrator at the Environmental Protection Agency. He also represented the EPA on the White House Climate Change Task Force.

On Wednesday, North Carolina News site WXII reported that a proposed wind farm could kill 20 bald eagles each year. David Groberg, Vice President for Invenergy of Chicago, the company planning the farm, did not back down, but promised that the company is trying to "minimize the effect on wildlife."

The Obama administration’s green energy policies have a long history of killing endangered species.
