Undercover Video Shows North Carolina Campaign Staffers Encouraging Non-Citizen to Vote for Hagan

October 30, 2014

As the midterm elections approach, there is some concern about voter fraud having a significant impact on election results.

A video released by James O'Keefe's Project Veritas will only heighten those concerns. The video, released Thursday morning, shows a Veritas undercover investigator asking campaign staffers for a number of different candidates whether it would be illegal for her to vote, given that she is not a citizen of the United States. All of the staffers encourage her to vote anyway.

In a piece for National Review, John Fund said what goes on the video is "disturbing."

He said at least one of the staffers in the video "appears to be afoul of a state law making it a felony 'for any person, knowing that a person is not a citizen of the United States, to instruct or coerce that person to register to vote or to vote.'"
