ABC host George Stephanopoulos called the gif President Donald Trump retweeted of himself hitting a golf ball into Hillary Clinton's back "alarming" in an interview Sunday morning.
Speaking with Rep. Adam Schiff (D., Calif.) about Trump's recent deals with Democratic leaders on issues like the debt ceiling and DACA, Stephanopoulos described the graphic Trump retweeted Sunday and asked Schiff if it made him question the legitimacy of his outreach.

"Maybe it's not surprising," Stephanopoulos said. "Kind of an alarming tweet right there. Does it make you question how real this outreach to Democrats was this week?"
Schiff said it didn't because he recognized Trump's dealing with Democrats as "purely transactional," calling him a man without an ideology except for being "pro-Trump."
"Sometimes those interests will align, and we shouldn't cut off our nose to spite our face where they do align," Schiff said. "Where it makes sense for the American people, we should take advantage of that transactional opportunity."
Schiff did call it "distressing" that Trump used his Twitter account for "juvenile" ends.
"It doesn't help, I think, in terms of his stature," Schiff said. "It doesn't help in terms of the stature of our whole country, so that's a wholly separate issue."
