WFB's Liz Harrington Discusses Hillary Clinton's Early Campaign Troubles

The Washington Free Beacon’s Elizabeth Harrington appeared on Fox News’ Happening Now Tuesday to discuss the most recent Hillary Clinton scandal.

An upcoming book called Clinton Cash reveals details about donations to the Clinton Foundation from foreign governments.  The donations raised concerns as to whether Clinton provided favors for foreign governments that donated to the Clinton Foundation during her time as Secretary of State.

Clinton ally John Podesta dismissed the book as "nothing new."

"Podesta was out there saying this woven-together conspiracies," Harrington said.  "She disclosed so much—unprecedented, but really not combating any of the details of these benefits that the donors allegedly looked like they received. And that is really the problem that she is going to have."

Host Jon Scott asked whether the Clinton Foundation could have accepted donations without compromising Clinton’s integrity as Secretary of State.

"Well, not really, if you're going to, you know, be Secretary of State, sending your husband to all these foreign nations and to big-time donors," Harrington said. "Accepting all this money, now they're announcing that, ‘Oh, we're not going to take any more funding from the Middle East,’ but they're still going to take funding from foreign countries? It looks pretty … you're following money and seeing who is giving six-figure speeches. Then, all of a sudden, donors are getting preferential treatment from the government."
