Washington Free Beacon editor in chief Matthew Continetti said Sunday on CNN that President Trump was elected to run the country rather than to criticize the media.
Continetti made the comment on the show "Reliable Sources" with host Brian Stelter during a discussion on the president criticizing the press via Twitter.
"The key for me, though, is Trump was elected to be commander in chief, not media critic in chief," Continetti said.
He added that the president's supporters are focused primarily on jobs and that Trump will be judged by his actions.
