MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski said on Friday that President Trump's presidency is a "fake presidency," and accused the Trump administration of spreading misinformation and lies.
"This presidency doesn't feel real," Brzezinski said.
"Are you saying, Mika, this feels like a fake presidency?" co-host Joe Scarborough asked.
"It's a fake presidency. I'm at that point," Brzezinski said
"Someone tell me what is going on here?" she continued. "We have a president who goes out in front of America for an hour and ten minutes riffing and just making up stuff and throwing out lies right and left. Our president, this is our president."
NBC reporter Katy Tur chimed in, saying Trump hasn't changed his behavior from the campaign last year.
"He is literally the same exact person that we saw during the campaign. Nothing changed. Anyone who said he is going to become more presidential believed him when he said that," she said. "They are wrong. This is who he is. He won off this. He is going to continue to act the way that he does."
Tur said that Trump held his press conference on Thursday because he was "itching to spar" with the media and defend himself from media attacks.
"These are the things he cared about," Brzezinski said. "With everything that is going on in our world and in our country, and all of the different jobs that have yet to be filled, and other countries are looking at our country, going 'what is going on there?' This nation seems to be destabilizing. He cares about what?"
Tur said Trump is "giving off the appearance" that things are getting done.
"He's giving off the appearance that he doing something by signing the executive orders and by holding these round tables and having the photo ops with the business leaders and talking about rolling back regulation, promising Obamacare," Tur said.
"So it's a fake presidency. Appearance," Brzezinski interjected.
"He is giving off, at least for now," Tur said. "He is giving off the appearance that things are getting done and that is what is resonating with the people that voted for him."
This is not the first time that Brzezinski has associated the word "fake" with the Trump administration. On Thursday, she wrote on Twitter that, "The President needs to succeed for America but he has crossed the line too many times. This feels like a fake Presidency."

She also accused Trump's counselor, Kellyanne Conway, on Wednesday of spreading "fake news" and said that she will never have her on "Morning Joe" as long as she is a co-host, Washington Free Beacon reported.
"Joe was just saying she books herself on these shows. We know she tries to book herself on this show," Brzezinski said. "I won't do it because I don't believe in fake news or information that is not true, and that is every time I've seen her on television. Something's askew, off, or incorrect."
