Biden's Brother: He's 'Absolutely' Got Another Presidential Run in Him

June 8, 2017

Joe Biden's youngest brother told radio host Michael Smerconish on Wednesday that the former vice president "absolutely" has another run for president left in him.

Smerconish asked Frank Biden straight-out on his Sirius XM show if there is "any prospect he's got one more run in him."

"Absolutely," Frank Biden said. "Absolutely. Why anyone would think otherwise, I don't know."

Biden has stirred rumors that he could run in 2020 after stating his regrets that he did not run against Donald Trump in 2016 and launching a new PAC called American Possibilities.

Joe Biden publicly mulled a presidential run in 2015, but he ultimately decided against it, citing his grief over the death of his son Beau. Frank Biden discussed the shock of the death for the family and praised his brother for carrying on.

"Obviously, Joe is my hero, I'm his youngest brother," Frank Biden said. "I think the moon rises and sets on him, but that's me being a younger brother. If you're looking at it objectively, Joe is one of the few people in the United States who commands respect from the right and the left ... You can take to the bank whatever he says is true."

Smerconish told Frank Biden he wished his brother had made a run in 2016, citing his distaste for Hillary Clinton and Trump.
