Often lost in the swamp during the nonsensical Beltway argument over impeachment is the fact that Ukraine, thanks to President Donald J. Trump, has exactly what it needs to fight back the Russkies.

Far from the pillows and sheets supplied to Ukraine by the last administration, our now great leadership elected to supply Ukraine with a precision missile system capable of obliterating any tank Russia rolls in.

The American-made FGM-148 Javelin missile system weighs in fully loaded at just 50 pounds—next to nothing for anyone worthy of the battlefield. To the untrained eye, the Javelin may look like a simple shoulder-fired rocket launcher, but this bad-boy is operating at a completely different level.

The Javelin fires an infrared-guided missile that propels itself up to 150 meters into the sky before coming down to strike its target from above, where tanks have less protection.

Like the old Showtime Rotisserie cooker, you can just set it and forget it! Once you've used the system's thermal targeting system to lock in, you can just kick back and relax until the enemy is destroyed.

Here's a quick demo video on how it works from the patriots who made the Javelin at Raytheon:

The Obama administration didn't want to give Ukraine the Javelin missile, fearing that it would further escalate the country's conflict with Russia. This is a now-discredited Russian talking point. Even Fiona Hill, who played a starring role in the impeachment circus and once agreed that sending Javelins to Ukraine would be a mistake, admits she was dead wrong.

"Everybody changes their mind, you know, and kind of learns things," Hill conceded during her impeachment testimony.

Trump approved the sale of Javelin missiles in early 2018, sending 210 missiles and 37 launchers over to Ukraine. The country's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has asked Trump to send more missiles and in exchange for absolutely nothing in return, the sale has been approved.

One hundred fifty more missiles and 10 launchers are on the way to Ukraine. No quid pro quo.

For holding off the enemy and helping deliver the message to the Russians that this administration has Ukraine's back, we salute you as a 2019 Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year, Javelin missile. Keep raining down your fury on the bad guys, courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue.
