2014 Man of the Year: Richard Overton

Richard Overton / Patrick Chovanec

Richard Overton turned 108 this year. That makes him the oldest living WWII veteran.

The fact that he still drinks whiskey every morning, smokes 12 cigars a day, hangs out with the President of the United States and Governor of Texas, and poses with tommy guns makes him the Greatest Living American.

"Whiskey's a good medicine," he once told Fox News. "It keeps your muscles tender." And helps you win a coveted Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year award.
