I have to say, I was a bit surprised to see this tweet from Rose McGowan:

After all, she didn't seem too upset by the gear she wore in the Planet Terror segment of Grindhouse:
I don't remember hearing about costuming notes with that role:
Or, say, her Jawbreaker wardrobe:
That role had rather specific requirements:
Or ... whatever* this is from:
My personal favorite, though, has to be Monkeybone:
You don't remember Monkeybone?
Not a great movie, per se, but a movie with a few great sequences. I would've loved to see the notes accompanying that script!
I'm sure there are some cynical people out there who think this is nothing but a plea for attention from someone happy to hop on the anti-Adam Sandler bandwagon. But I reject this reading! Surely she's just seen the light: acting ability is far more important than how one looks on the screen and in the required wardrobe. Good for her!
UPDATE: Two separate people have asked why I didn't include an image of her get-up at the VMAs in 1998. Short version: I couldn't find a photo on AP and didn't want to just include one I didn't have the rights to. I did not, however, think to look on Getty. So here you go:
Again, this seems like someone who is very concerned about being objectified by an uncaring industry. Good for Rose McGowan.
*I think it's Charmed, but I'm not 100 percent sure.
