Democrats Don't Want Anyone to See Hillary Clinton's Formidable Debating Skills

Hillary Clinton absolutely crushes it when she steps on the debate stage. She is formidably skilled in politics and realistically likable. Oddly enough, the Democratic Party doesn't seem to want anyone to actually watch Hillary debate before the first primary votes are cast in early February.

The Democrats hosted their second primary "debate" on Friday night. Except it wasn't a debate, but rather a series of one-on-one candidate interviews with Rachel Maddow. No one watched, obviously. The party has scheduled three actual debates between now and the Iowa caucus on February 1. No one is going to watch them either. Why? Well, here are the dates:

  • Saturday, November 14 in Iowa — During a University of Iowa home football game, among others.
  • Saturday, December 19 in New Hampshire — During a rare Saturday NFL game, Jets vs. Cowboys.
  • Sunday, January 17 in South Carolina — Same day as the NFL divisional playoff games.

Given the decisiveness of Hillary's "victory" in the first Democratic debate, it's strange that Democrats would schedule these debates on weekends dominated by sporting events, when fewer voters are likely to tune in and see just how down-to-earth and relatable a human being Hillary Clinton is in real life. What a waste.
