President Donald Trump and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) found themselves in a Twitter feud on Thursday over Sanders' health care plan.
Sanders introduced his Medicare-for-all bill Wednesday, intended to extend the federal health care program to people under 65. The bill is co-sponsored by 15 of Sanders' Democratic colleagues, more than it has accrued in any other year.
Trump tweeted in response to the bill Thursday, blasting Sanders for his single-payer plan.
Bernie Sanders is pushing hard for a single payer healthcare plan - a curse on the U.S. & its people...

...I told Republicans to approve healthcare fast or this would happen. But don't worry, I will veto because I love our country & its people.

Sanders responded soon after, throwing back Trump's "curse" criticism at him, and vowing to fight Trump if he moves ahead on health care reform.
No Mr. President, providing health care to every man, woman and child as a right is not a curse, it's exactly what we should be doing. https://t.co/sNeq6YZHDw

What is a curse is your support for throwing 23 million off health insurance. That's the curse and we won't allow you to get away with it.
