Rep. Seth Moulton (D., Mass.) tweeted Tuesday evening about Georgia's special election outcome, writing that Democrat Jon Ossoff's loss should serve as a "wake-up call" for the Democratic Party.
The Massachusetts Democrat also said what he feels the Democratic Party can do better in the future.
Following Republican candidate Karen Handel's win in Georgia's sixth congressional district Tuesday night, Moulton tweeted that Ossoff's loss should be a sign to Democrats that what they are doing is no longer working.
"#Ossoff Race better be a wake up call for Democrats - business as usual isn't working. Time to stop rehashing 2016 and talk about the future," Moulton wrote.
He followed up that tweet by responding to it with another one that gave more specific advice to the Democratic Party.
"We need a genuinely new message, a serious jobs plan that reaches all Americans, and a bigger tent not a smaller one. Focus on the future," the second tweet read.
