HBO political talk show host Bill Maher lambasted Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party on his show Friday night, telling Clinton to "stay in the woods."
First, Maher slammed Clinton for losing the 2016 election and continuing to remain in the public eye.
"Hillary, stay in the woods," Maher said. "You had your shot, you f****ed it up, you're Bill Buckner, we had the World Series and you let the grounder go through your legs, let someone else have the chance."
Maher said that Clinton is verifying "every bad thing" about her family.
"The fact that she's coming back, it just verifies every bad thing anyone's ever thought about the Clintons, that it's all about them," Maher continued. "Let some of the other shorter trees get a little sunlight."
Maher went after liberals for expressing outrage over "bullshit issues," referencing when Clinton commented on Bill O'Reilly's jokes about Rep. Maxine Waters' (D., Calif.) hair and White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer telling journalist April Ryan to stop shaking her head.
Center for American Progress president Neera Tanden called O'Reilly's comments racist and sexist.
"This is why the Democrats lost the election in the first place," Maher said. "Because they can not get their priorities straight and they never fail to take the bait about little bullshit issues."
Tanden again called O'Reilly and Spicer's comments racist.
"You go immediately to 'it's a racist thing about oh no he didn't,’" Maher said to Tanden.
"Stop the fake outrage," former Sen. Rick Santorum (R., Pa.) said to Tanden.
