Fox News has decided not to renew contributor contracts for political commentator George Will, Republican strategist Ed Rollins, and actress Stacey Dash, the Hill reported over the weekend.
Will, a Pulitzer Prize-winning conservative columnist, had been with ABC from 1981 to 2011 before he came to Fox in 2013. He decided to leave the Republican Party in June 2016 when Donald Trump was on the verge of becoming the party's presidential nominee.
Trump responded at the time by tweeting: "George Will, one of the most overrated political pundits (who lost his way long ago), has left the Republican Party. He's made many bad calls [sic]."
Will had public issues with Fox's popular host Bill O'Reilly in 2015 and 2016, when he called O'Reilly's book Killing Reagan "nonsensical." O'Reilly later countered by calling Will a "hack" in a heated interview.
Rollins is a political strategist who was once a commentator for CNN. He joined Fox in 2011.
Known for serving as the national campaign director for the Reagan-Bush campaign in 1984, Rollins is currently co-chair of the pro-Trump Great America PAC.
Dash joined Fox in 2014 and was seen on the news program "Outnumbered." She is most recognized for her main role in the 1995 comedy film Clueless.
During Dash's time on "Outnumbered," some of her comments sparked controversy and were deemed inappropriate by the network. This repeated behavior eventually led to terminate her contract of employment.
Contracts for longtime journalist Martin Kalb and radio commentator and syndicated columnist Carl Thomas were also not renewed.
Fox announced on Friday that Nigel Farage, a former United Kingdom Independence Party leader, is going to be a new contributor for the cable channel.
Farage has been a vocal supporter of Trump and the "Brexit" movement for Britain to leave the European Union.
