CBS News wrongly tweeted that Friday marked the eight-year anniversary of President Obama entering the White House, and the tweet included a video compilation of Obama's singing throughout the years.
While Obama was elected to the presidency on Nov. 4, 2008, he did not officially become President of the United States until January 20, 2009, when he was inaugurated. After online mockery ensued of the obvious error by CBS, a second tweet was sent out to clarify that Friday actually marked eight years since he was elected.
Both tweets featured a video montage of the times Obama has burst into song as president, titled "5 Times President Obama Was Actually Crooner in Chief."

It is unclear if CBS ever did such a friendly, non-political montage on behalf of Republican President George W. Bush near the end of his second term.
Factually false, narrative-driven and sycophantic, our national media in a nutshell. https://t.co/gvHlCdgl7h

In other network news on Friday, NBC News posted an article wondering what would happen to Obama's @POTUS Twitter account after he leaves office. As he is the first sitting president to join Twitter, NBC reported the transition of the account to his successor will be "unprecedented."
