David Brock is not bothered by newly released emails that show that top Hillary Clinton campaign officials view Brock as a crazy "nut bar" who people shouldn't trust, he said during a Tuesday appearance on MSNBC.
Brock was asked specifically about an email exchange between Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and Center for American Progress president Neera Tanden.
"Trusting David Brock probably doesn’t make a lot of sense," she wrote. "I mean I hope people get he’s kind of a nut bar."
Earlier in the exchange Podesta wrote that he was "pissed" at Brock for attacking Bernie Sanders for his health.
"I think that, you know, that's rather tame if you consider it by the standards of talk in campaigns," Brock said Tuesday. "Campaigns are tough, they're tense, things get heated."
Brock went on to say that he was "not at all" offended.
Being called a "nut bar" is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to emails disparaging towards Brock. In other exchanges, Brock is referred to as "crazy," a "whacko," an "unhinged soulless narcissist," and a "menace" who was secretly "out to tank" Clinton.
Emails also show that Podesta took steps to avoid meeting with Brock in person.
