The Republican Jewish Coalition castigated Pennsylvania Senate candidate Katie McGinty (D.) in a new 30-second ad for supporting President Obama's Iran nuclear deal.
The new ad, titled "Dangerously Naïve," criticizes McGinty for standing behind the nuclear agreement despite the threat that Iran poses to the United States and its allies in the Middle East.
"Katie McGinty still supports the deal even after Iran captured American sailors and held civilian hostages for cash ransom," the ad narrator says. "After Iran test-fired long range ballistic missiles, missiles that could threaten America, Israel, and our allies. Katie McGinty: dangerously naïve, wrong for Pennsylvania."
RJC announced on Wednesday that it will be unleashing a multifaceted ad campaign targeting McGinty for supporting the Iran deal in addition to praising her incumbent opponent, Sen. Pat Toomey (R., Pa.), for showing leadership against it.
"By supporting this dangerous deal with Iran, Katie McGinty is placing partisan interests ahead of the security of Pennsylvanians, our country, and our allies around the world," RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks said. "Despite everything we now know about this deal, whether it's secret exemptions that ultimately make it easier for Iran to build a nuclear weapon, or billions of dollars in ransom payments that will fund Iran's terrorist activities, Katie McGinty continues to support this flawed deal."
