MSNBC Host Scolds Conway: How Do You Face Your Kids at Night?

October 19, 2016

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle chastised Donald Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway on Wednesday for supporting the Republican nominee after his recent sexual assault allegations.

Hours before the third presidential debate, Ruhle spoke with Conway about Trump's candidacy. The MSNBC host became visibly irritated and appeared more like a Hillary Clinton surrogate when the two spoke about Trump's sexual assault allegations.

Ruhle asked Conway if she agreed with Sen. Marco Rubio's (R., Fla.) warning that Republicans should not celebrate the ongoing WikiLeaks hacks of Clinton campaign chair John Podesta's emails.

Conway did not think there was any reason to choose between Rubio's warning and Trump promoting the leaks but questioned the unfounded sexual assault accusations against Trump.

Ruhle asked why the accusations were unfounded.

Conway explained they lacked hard evidence while WikiLeaks provided substantial evidence of wrong-doings within the Clinton campaign.

"You're a mother. You're a woman. Are you more offended by the phrase 'average Americans' or grabbing a woman's genitals?" Ruhle fired back.

"The latter and I've made that very clear," Conway responded. "His words are offensive and they're indefensible. Nobody's been asked to defend or condone them by the way."

"When there are six people corroborating the People's Magazine story you still say her word against his?" Ruhle asked.

Before Conway could answer her question, Ruhle snapped at Trump's campaign manager, "You've got to look at your kids when you go home at night."

Conway told Ruhle that the comment about her kids was unfair as the MSNBC host said her children are not allowed to watch the debate for fear of Trump calling a female audience member fat.

The third presidential debate will be held Wednesday night at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
