Donald Trump is seeking $10 million in damages from former campaign consultant Sam Nunberg for allegedly violating a nondisclosure agreement.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee charges that Nunberg leaked confidential information to the media in breach of an NDA, the Associated Press reports:
In a court filing obtained by The Associated Press, Nunberg accuses Trump of trying to silence him "in a misguided attempt to cover up media coverage of an apparent affair" between senior campaign staffers. The document cited a New York Post story about a public quarrel between the staffers published last month.
The legal dispute reflects Trump’s efforts to aggressively protect the secrecy of his campaign’s inner workings. The case is spelled out in court documents that sought to block private arbitration proceedings that Trump initiated in May.
According to Washington Post reporter Robert Costa, Trump is suing Nunberg because he is angry.
I'm told that Trump decided decided to file a lawsuit in the middle of a general-election campaign because he's furious w/ Nunberg.

Nunberg has been outspoken since leaving the campaign last year, at one point telling the Daily Beast that Trump’s candidacy was "doomed." Nunberg was dismissed from the campaign after a series of racially charged Facebook posts he wrote came to light.
