A 90-year-old man scared off a burglar trying to break into his home with a single shot from his .357 Magnum revolver on Wednesday.

Police received a call to respond to a break-in at a home in Youngstown, Ohio at around 3 a.m. Wednesday, The Vindicator reports. The homeowner, who police described only as a 90-year-old man, told police that a man had tried to break into the house. After hearing glass shatter on his porch, the man reportedly grabbed his .357 Magnum revolver and fired a single shot in the direction of the noise.

The burglar then ran off before police could arrive.
