Sen. Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.) said a combination of elements--including spending cuts--should be in play for the ongoing fiscal cliff negotiations in a Tuesday evening interview with Chris Matthews.
"We need to also look at spending cuts across the board," McCaskill said, "maybe not with a 2x4 like sequestration, but surgically."
The Missouri Senator also said tax rate increases for the wealthy, deduction limitations for the wealthy, and means testing for Medicare should be considered.
