Israeli Killed in Passover Eve Terror Attack

A 47-year-old  man was killed Monday evening in a terror attack near Hebron, Israel, according to Israel Hayom.

The incident occurred when Baruch Mizrahi’s "car came under terrorist fire as he and his family were making their way to a Passover Seder." Mizrahi’s wife was also injured. The couple’s children were unharmed.

According to available details, the attack took place about a mile from the Tarkumia checkpoint, near the Beit Guvrin Junction, when a terrorist armed with an AK-47 opened fire at three vehicles traveling from west to east. The first vehicle escaped unscathed, Mizrahi and his wife, who were in the second vehicle, were injured, and a child travelling in the third car was mildly wounded as well. [...]

Mizrahi served in the Israel Defense Forces for 25 years, in various operational and technological positions, the last of which was as a lieutenant colonel with Military Intelligence. He retired from the IDF in June 2011 and joined the Israel Police, where he served as head of the technology department with the Police Intelligence Unit's Signals Intelligence Division.

The attackers have not yet been found, but the Israeli police told Mizrahi’s wife, "we are doing everything possible to catch his killers and I assume our security forces will find them."
