When the Danbury Hat Tricks met in the locker room before their first minor league hockey game, assistant coach John Krupinsky had a message for all his players.
"We're not women's soccer. We're not the NFL," he said in a message that soon went viral. "If there's anybody here that's going to be disrespectful to either the American or the Canadian national anthem, grab your gear and get the f—k out now, because you'll never see the ice in this arena."

While the Washington Free Beacon is ambivalent about Krupinsky's defense of the leaf flag of the socialist poutine-eating moosepeople to the north, the coach's strident defense of the American flag sets him apart from unpatriotic losers like women's soccer's Megan Rapinoe and washed out former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
When he's not owning the libs out on the ice, Krupinsky's day job is as a Danbury, Conn., police officer. "I take pride in my country," he told Fox News. "I've unfortunately seen [the American flag] cover too many coffins. I think we can take a timeout to give two minutes' worth of respect to our soldiers, to our firemen, to your policemen."
For maintaining the most American minor league hockey team since the Rochester Americans, coach John Krupinsky is a Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year.
