President Donald Trump's salute to the most female U.S. Congress in history set off huge cheers among House Democrats and even a bipartisan chant of "USA!"
During his State of the Union address, Trump championed the statistic that women were filling 58 percent of newly created jobs last year and more women were working than ever before in the American economy.
While the Democratic congresswomen clad in white had largely sat silently throughout much of Trump's speech, they cheered and even raised the roof when Trump mentioned the former stat.
"Don't sit yet, you're going to like this," Trump quipped, before relaying that exactly 100 years after women won the right to vote, there were more women serving in Congress than ever before in history.
Even Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), who had sat stone-faced through much of the address, stood and cheered. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) motioned to her caucus to stand and cheer as well.
Trump offered his congratulations, knowing full well the vast majority of the 102 women in the House—89—were Democrats.
