President Donald Trump said on Wednesday afternoon that people are "really upset" that Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill (D.) used her private plane during what her campaign billed as an R.V. tour of the state.
Trump's barb at McCaskill comes a day after the Washington Free Beacon reported that her private plane took the same route as her campaign's R.V. and the Missouri senator confirmed that she took trips on the plane during the R.V. tour.
"Senator Claire McCaskill of the GREAT State of Missouri flew around in a luxurious private jet during her RV tour of the state," Trump wrote on Twitter. "RV’s are not for her. People are really upset, so phony!"

Trump concluded his Tweet by offering his "full endorsement" to Missouri's Republican attorney general Josh Hawley, who is considered the favorite to win the party's primary and face McCaskill in November.
"Josh Hawley should win big, and has my full endorsement," Trump wrote.
