CNN Asks if Clinton Is a 'Sour Loser'

September 12, 2017

CNN host Poppy Harlow asked on Tuesday if Hillary Clinton seemed like a "sour loser" in her new book What Happened or in a recent interview about her loss in the 2016 election.

Harlow likely meant to use the term "sore loser."

Harlow asked guest Bakari Sellers about how in the book and in recent interviews, Clinton has blamed several others for her loss and concluded that the Trump campaign was actively colluding with Russian entities. Harlow mentioned that no U.S. authorities have concluded that yet.

"Is this a bridge too far at this point, meaning does it risk her looking like ‘sour loser’ and ‘sour grapes’ here?" Harlow asked.

Sellers, a former Democratic politican and a CNN commentator, said that he didn't think it was a "bridge too far" for Clinton to come to the conclusion she did. Harlow ended the segment by mentioning that special prosecutor Robert Mueller and congressional committees investigating have not come to any conclusions.

Sellers had also said that he thought that Clinton should continue to be an active figure within the Democratic Party, although many other Democrats have hoped for her to "go away" after her loss.
