CNN contributor and former Obama administration official Van Jones said that Oprah Winfrey could beat President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.

On Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," a caller asked Jones who he wanted to see run against Trump, Business Insider reports. Almost immediately, Jones named Winfrey.

Jones first named several others who believed are rising stars in the Democratic Party and have the potential to run for the White House one day. Jones praised Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.), Sen. Cory Booker (D., N.J.) and Rep. Joseph Kennedy III (D., Mass.).

But Jones named one factor that leads him to believe that Winfrey could beat Trump in an election by a landslide.

"But it takes a superstar to beat a superstar and I think if Oprah Winfrey ran, she'd win all 50 states," Jones said. "It would be a wrap."

Winfrey was a major supporter of the Obamas and endorsed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. During the Obama administration, Winfrey interviewed the first couple multiple times and appeared at White House events.

Jones isn't the first person wanting Winfrey to run in 2020. Documentary film maker Michael Moore said he wants big name celebrities to run for office, including Winfrey.
