People reacted on Twitter to Tuesday night's election upset where Democrat Doug Jones defeated Republican Roy Moore in Alabama, a stunning upset that makes him the first Democrat to win a U.S. Senate seat in the state since 1992.
Moore has yet to concede the race, telling supporters it's not over and that it will take some time.
"Realize when the vote is this close, it's not over," Moore said. "And we still got to go by the rules about this recount provision."
Before the election results were tallied, there were a few hot takes that spread throughout Twitter.
After the results are in tonight, the voters of Alabama are going to have to reckon with the reality that -- win or lose -- they live in Alabama.

I hope this doesn't freak you out, but @MooreSenate if you win tonight all our periods will sync up & we'll summon a banshee to rise up from the swamps of Alabama & fly shrieking through your bedroom window before disappearing right in front of your mortified, gasping face! xo

When the race was called for Jones, Matt Drudge, the founder of Drudge Report, said Moore had brought "too much crazy" and called Steve Bannon "busted." Bannon, former chief strategist for President Donald Trump, endorsed and actively campaigned for Moore throughout the primary and general election.

Other elected officials weighed in on social media, mostly to celebrate the fact Moore lost.
