Democrat Beto O'Rourke fell short in his Senate race against Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) on Tuesday, yet again dashing his paty's hopes of winning a statewide race in the Lone Star State.

Dozens of fawning profiles, record-breaking fundraising, and plenty of Hollywood support couldn't get him over the hump against Cruz, falling short by a few percentage points.
