Speaking before the U.S. Senate Tuesday evening, Sen. Tom Coburn (R., Okla.) expressed his ire with the snowballing debt problem. He advised that politicians to treat the debt like a credit card and cut it up.
Coburn produced a pair of scissors and proceeded to cut an enlarged, poster sized credit card, with "Washington" splashed across where a credit card owner’s name would appear.
He attempted to cut the credit card before becoming frustrated and ripping it in half.
