Sarah Palin visited the White House on Wednesday and had a "great night" hanging with the man she campaigned for in 2016, President Trump.

Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee who became a Tea Party star, endorsed Trump early in the 2016 campaign.

"A great night at the White House! Thank you to President Trump for the invite!" she tweeted about the visit.

Pro-Trump musicians Kid Rock and Ted Nugent also visited Trump at the White House. According to the Washington Examiner, Nugent wrote on Facebook that he and his wife, Shemane, dined with Trump at the White House "to make America great again."

Nugent has a history of making racially charged remarks, leading to criticism about him being at the White House. BuzzFeed headlined its story on the visit: "President Trump Hung Out With a Racist Musician at the White House Last Night."

Shemane Nugent posted a picture of her husband, Palin, and Kid Rock standing in front of the White House portrait of Hillary Clinton, who Trump defeated in November.
