Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) took a thinly veiled shot at Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) for refusing to hold a vote on impeaching President Donald Trump.
Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter on Saturday night to express her frustration with the Democratic leadership in the House. She didn't single out any Democrats by name, but it appears to be directed at Pelosi because Pelosi has repeatedly batted down calls to hold an impeachment vote.
"At this point, the bigger national scandal isn’t the president’s lawbreaking behavior—it is the Democratic Party’s refusal to impeach him for it," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Pelosi has continued to ignore the growing calls for impeachment within her party.
Ocasio-Cortez's latest call for impeachment comes after the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal reported an intelligence official was concerned about a call between Trump and the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. The call allegedly involved Trump pressuring Zelensky several times about cooperating with Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani in investigating Hunter Biden's business dealings in Ukraine. Hunter Biden is the son of former Vice President Joe Biden. The inspector general believed the information was of "urgent concern," but CNN reports the whistleblower didn't have direct knowledge of the call.
Several 2020 presidential candidates have renewed their calls for impeachment after the stories broke.
