White House reporter Brian Karem reported Monday that Maryland officials were investigating another Brett Kavanaugh accusation, but local police say they have not initiated an investigation into the Supreme Court nominee.

"SUPREME COURT NOMINEE KAVANAUGH FACES MORE ALLEGATIONS," Karem reported for The Sentinel Newspapers, which operates local newspaper The Montgomery County Sentinel. Karem is the White House reporter for Playboy magazine and a CNN political analyst.

"Investigators in Montgomery County confirmed Monday they’re aware of a potential second sexual assault complaint in the county against former Georgetown Prep student and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh," Karem reported. "While investigators weren’t specific and spoke on background, they said they are looking at allegations against Kavanaugh during his senior year in high school after an anonymous witness came forward this weekend."

It was "unclear," Karem wrote, whether or not the supposed anonymous witness was the same client represented by Stormy Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti, who made bizarre claims over the weekend that he had evidence Kavanaugh held group rape sessions while in high school.

Karem did not go into details about which "investigators" are looking into the claim. But the Montgomery County Police Department said in a statement said it "has not received a request by any alleged victim nor a victim’s attorney to initiate a police report or a criminal investigation regarding Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh."

Kavanaugh was first accused this summer by Christine Blasey Ford of sexually assaulting her while they were both in high school. On Sunday, the New Yorker reported accusations from Deborah Ramirez, a Yale classmate, that Kavanaugh drunkenly exposed himself to her when he was a freshmen in college. The nominee has denied the accusations.
