Kay Hagan Can't Say Whether Obama Is Doing a Good Job

October 29, 2014

"He’s got a very difficult job."

That was the answer from Senator Kay Hagan (D., N.C.) when asked if she thought President Obama was doing a good job.

Hagan ducked the question and responded, "This election is not about the president--he is not on the ballot."

The question was prompted by Republican nominee Thom Tillis’s claims that Hagan’s campaign is tied to Obama.

"But regardless of what your opponent is saying, do you think the president has done a good job?"

Hagan equivocated, listing multiple issues such as the Islamic State, Ebola, and Afghanistan that have plagued the Obama administration.
