Dan Pfeiffer, former adviser to President Obama, said Hillary Clinton has had a rough summer on Tuesday.
During CNN’s The Lead, host Jake Tapper showed a poll where Clinton’s favorability dropped among women. In June 44 percent of white women held a favorable view of Clinton. That number dropped to 34 percent in July.
"I will admit that; these are not good numbers," Pfeiffer said. "She's had a rough summer, she's been through the wringer all summer on a whole host of things."
In July, two inspectors general asked the State Department to launch an investigation in Clinton’s use of a private email account when she was Secretary of State, after they found Clinton sent classified information on the account.
Clinton has also dodged questions all summer on the Keystone XL pipeline and the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement.
