Elijah Cummings Questions GOP Oversight of Trump: ‘Do You Hear the Silence?’

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D., Md.) voiced his displeasure Tuesday after senior Republican lawmakers declined to pursue additional inquiries regarding the resignation of Donald Trump's national security adviser, Michael Flynn.

Speaking in reference to House Republicans' oversight of the president, Cummings asked his Capitol Hill audience, somewhat poetically, if they could "hear the silence."

Earlier in the day, Cummings fell victim to the same fake Micheal Flynn Twitter account that fooled one of his Democratic colleagues, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.).
