Late-night host Stephen Colbert roasted Hillary Clinton on his show Monday night over her email scandal and low poll numbers regarding honesty and trustworthiness.
Colbert appeared serious at first before changing his tune and going after Clinton’s honesty as he "took the gloves off" in a hip-hop style.
"You look so shady right now that FIFA wants to hire you," Colbert said.
His jokes referenced an array of topics, including politics and pop culture, all of which targeted Clinton.
"I mean, Top Secrets? I don’t think you should be allowed to handle Pop Secret," Colbert said. "I wouldn’t trust you with secret deodorant."
Colbert even took a swipe at former Maryland governor and brief Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley.
"I can’t believe you’re so bad at running for president that I almost remembered who Martin O’Malley is."
"Since you’re obviously bad at lying, let me show how to do it: I trust Hillary Clinton," Colbert said.
Colbert also hit Clinton on her nonsecure private email server, which some people believe may have been hacked by foreign entities, although the FBI could not prove so in their investigation of the server. Some people believe that a foreign hacker would also be sophisticated enough to cover their tracks to not leave proof of their activities.
"You were so vulnerable to hackers that you might want to check your email servers for fortune cookies, because I’m guessing there’s been a lot of Chinese take-out."
