CNN: Clinton Not 'Generating a Sense of Connection' With Voters

August 3, 2015

CNN reporter Nia-Malika Henderson said Monday that Hillary Clinton is struggling to generate connection with voters.

"Hillary Clinton has the negative numbers when it comes to being viewed as trustworthy," Henderson said.

A recent Quinnipiac poll shows a growing number of people see Clinton as untrustworthy.

"She’s had problems with her campaign generating that enthusiasm and a sense of connection," Henderson said.

Clinton’s Democratic opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) has filled the enthusiasm gap for Democrats. Sanders has drawn the biggest crowds at his campaign events across the country.

"If you look at the internal poll numbers, they say people don't think that Hillary Clinton represents or relates to people like them," Henderson said.
