After being denied access to a Hillary Clinton campaign event in New Hampshire, Daily Mail reporter David Martosko was told he would need to take his bathroom needs elsewhere and directed to "hit the woods" by campaign security staff, according to the reporters pool report.

Martosko, a national print pool reporter, arrived at a campaign event on Monday morning and was told he was "not on the list." He was denied access to the vans carrying approved reporters to the events, and was forced to drive himself to the first campaign event in hopes that all would be figured out upon arrival at the first scheduled event.

Upon arriving at the first scheduled event at the YMCA of Strafford County, Martosko was told that he could not enter the building, according to his pool report.

"Your pooler asked if he could come inside to use the restroom," wrote Martosko. "The Secret Service agent advised that the area had been swept already, so he should "hit the woods."

Martosko was forced to file his report from outside the event in his rental car.

A spokesperson for the Daily Mail said in a statement that it is "seeking an explanation from the Clinton campaign as to why this occurred."
