Chelsea Clinton tweeted out early Monday morning that President Trump "repeatedly lies," linking to the Associated Press's recent interview with the president.
Clinton was upset about some of Trump's comments in the interview, during which the president bragged about the high ratings he receives when he appears on television. He called it a "tremendous advantage" when he goes on Sunday morning news shows, adding that his appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation" drew the show's highest ratings since the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
"When I go, they go double, triple. Chris Wallace, look back during the Army-Navy football game, I did his show that morning," Trump began. "It had 9.2 million people. It's the highest they've ever had. On any, on air, [CBS "Face the Nation" host John] Dickerson had 5.2 million people. It's the highest for "Face the Nation," or as I call it, "Deface the Nation." It's the highest for "Deface the Nation" since the World Trade Center. Since the World Trade Center came down. It's a tremendous advantage."
Clinton asked if there is anything "more viscerally upsetting" than bragging about ratings and comparing them to after 9/11.
Trump repeatedly lies. What's more viscerally upsetting? His bragging toward the end about his higher TV ratings than after the 9/11 attacks https://t.co/QSLEDvXOVf

After the former first daughter's tweet, many people were quick to remind Clinton of who her parents are.
@ChelseaClinton "I did NOT have sex with that woman" still trumps any other lie spoken on television!

@ChelseaClinton @HillaryClinton blamed #Benghazi on a You-Tube video, told #ChelseaClinton in email it was terrorism. #Trump didn't get Amb Stevens killed.
