Brzezinski: There Are 'No Real Men' in the White House

June 19, 2017

MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski said Monday there are no "real men" in the White House who can stand up to President Donald Trump.

Co-host Joe Scarborough began the segment by playing a clip from "Fox News Sunday" in which one of President Donald Trump's new lawyers, Jay Sekulow, said that Trump is not under investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Scarborough then mocked Sekulow's visual theatrics from the interview by waving a stack of papers and shouting loudly.

"I have all of this evidence right here, and it is right here that I've got all of this evidence. I'm holding this paper," Scarborough said while holding up a stack of papers. "That means what I am saying is official and I got it from a certified letter."

Scarborough and Brzezinski then said that Fox News host Chris Wallace did a great job holding Sekulow accountable, prompting Scarborough to give a hypothetical answer of what Sekulow should have said.

Brzezinski then castigated the White House for having "no real men" to challenge Trump.

"Think about it. There are no men in the White House. Literally, no real men. I've said it before. Nobody can get him to stop tweeting," Brzezinski said as Scarborough repeatedly asked her to stop. "Maybe bring in a woman. Maybe just one who can get this guy to stop tweeting and shooting himself in the foot."

Scarborough then asked MSNBC contributor John Heilemann to join in the conversation.

"John Heilemann, help us out here," Scarborough said.

"Where do you want me to go here?" Heilemann asked.

Scarborough said he was just trying to change the subject from Brzezinski's commentary.
