President Donald Trump tweeted Friday that military solutions for North Korea are "locked and loaded" should dictator Kim Jong-un act "unwisely."
Trump and North Korea have engaged in an escalating battle of rhetoric in recent weeks, with Trump saying this week that it would be met with "fire and fury" if it continued threatening the U.S.
North Korea, which has miniaturized a nuclear warhead, responded by threatening to attack Guam, and Trump said Thursday that his "fire and fury" remarks may not have been "tough enough."
"They’ve been doing this to our country for a long time, for many years, and it’s about time that somebody stuck up for the people of this country and for the people of other countries. So, if anything, maybe that statement wasn’t tough enough," he said.
Friday morning, Trump wrote that he hoped North Korea will "find another path."
"Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely. Hopefully Kim Jong Un will find another path!" Trump wrote.

The United Nations Security Council last week passed a unanimous resolution imposing sanctions on North Korea for its nuclear program and belligerent rhetoric toward the rest of the world. It would slash the rogue nation's exports by more than $1 billion, severely damaging its economy.
