President Joe Biden may have pardoned his crackhead son, but one federal judge ensured the record would reflect that the move was complete and utter bullshit.
This legal eagle isn’t your textbook dweeb. Before law school, Judge Mark Scarsi was an engineer who designed and developed computer systems to crush America’s enemies.
Now, he’s doing that from the bench.
A district court judge appointed by Donald Trump in 2020, Scarsi presided over Hunter Biden’s tax fraud trial until it came to an untimely end. The younger Biden notified the court he’d been pardoned in early December. He sent a White House press release. "In short, a press release is not a pardon," Scarsi noted. They don’t teach that kind of killer logic in the Ivy League.
Of President Biden’s assertion that his son was treated differently from other offenders who didn’t pay their taxes because they were drug-addled wrecks, Scarsi observed that Hunter Biden "admitted that he engaged in tax evasion after this period of addiction by wrongfully deducting as business expenses items he knew were personal expenses, including luxury clothing, escort services, and his daughter’s law school tuition." He concluded: "The Constitution provides the President with broad authority to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States … but nowhere does the Constitution give the President the authority to rewrite history." Huzzah.
That would have been more than enough to make Judge Scarsi a Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year but alas, there’s more.
This robed hero tore UCLA a new one when he ruled that the school could not allow filthy anti-Semites to block Jewish students from campus.
"In the year 2024, in the United States of America, in the State of California, in the City of Los Angeles, Jewish students were excluded from portions of the UCLA campus because they refused to denounce their faith. This fact is so unimaginable and so abhorrent to our constitutional guarantee of religious freedom that it bears repeating," he wrote, adding that "under constitutional principles, UCLA may not allow services to some students when UCLA knows that other students are excluded on religious grounds, regardless of who engineered the exclusion."
Did we mention he also hosts kickass parties? For his devotion to constitutional principle, the rule of law, and bitch-slapping libs and anti-Semites from the bench, Judge Mark Scarsi will now pound his gavel as a Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year.
