Blunt Discusses Allegations That Obamacare Processing Center in Missouri is Doing Nothing

Sen. Roy Blunt (R., Mo.) addressed the report Wednesday that an Obamacare processing center in Missouri with a contract worth more than $1.25 billion is paying its employees to do almost nothing.

"I think it's the right time for us to ask hard questions, to demand an answer," he said. "Surely this is so egregious that it has to be not quite what the whistleblowers suggest, but if it's anything like the whistleblowers suggest, it's terrible. If it's exactly what the whistleblowers suggest, it's an absolute outrage for every taxpayer in American working hard to pay their taxes so that money can be wasted."

Blunt told host Stuart Varney that he's taking steps to investigate the claims.

"I’m extremely concerned about these serious claims in Wentzville," Blunt added in a statement sent to the Free Beacon. "This is just one of several Obamacare processing centers around the country, and Americans have a right to know if the federal government is wasting billions of their hard-earned taxpayer dollars. I’m working with my colleagues to get to the bottom of this issue, and I applaud KMOV’s efforts to call attention to these allegations."
