Biden's Big Fail

VP makes outlandish claims, fundraises at former brothel

Vice President Joe Biden spoke Monday at a fundraiser in a New Jersey house that used to be a brothel, according to Buzzfeed, which quotes a 1998 article in the New York Times:

The police say Mrs. Dempsey had turned her mansion into an all-hours bordello called An Afternoon Delight. At first, residents said they did not know what to think of the car traffic and other activities at Sunnymede. Some thought Mrs. Dempsey might have held frequent dinner parties. Others thought the cars constantly entering and leaving her driveway were construction workers doing renovations to the house.

According to Buzzfeed, the house was sold in 1999. It is now owned by prominent New Jersey lawyer Philip Sellinger and his wife, Barbara.

While speaking at the high-dollar fundraiser, Vice President Joe Biden called President Obama’s effort to kill Osama bin Laden the most audacious plan in "500 years," according to Politico:

"You can go back 500 years. You cannot find a more audacious plan. Never knowing for certain. We never had more than a 48 percent probability that he was there," Biden said at a fundraiser in Morris Township, N.J.

"Do any one of you have a doubt that if that raid failed that this guy would be a one-term president?" Biden asked. Obama, he said, "is willing to do the right thing and risk losing."…

Tickets for the fundraiser started at $1,000 and went up to $5,000 for a VIP reception. There were 140 guests and, in all, the pool reporter estimated that the event brought in about $400,000.
