Washington Free Beacon founding editor Matthew Continetti advised President-elect Joe Biden to ignore "woke social justice warriors" during his tenure in the Oval Office.
On Fox News's Special Report Friday, Continetti said his 2021 advice to Biden is to "stay away from the woke social justice warriors in his party and online."
"It would be good for the country if he doesn't listen to them," Continetti said, saying his presidency would benefit if he "ignores the loud voices on Twitter pushing for social justice."
After unexpected down-ballot losses in the 2020 election, many Democrats placed blame on radical members of their party who embraced socialism and far-left goals like defunding the police. In a leaked post-election phone call, Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D., Va.) lashed out at her party for championing radical agenda items, saying she almost lost her race because of it.
Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.) expressed similar disdain for the radical wing of his party the week after the election, saying "Defund the police? Defund, my butt."
Progressives have lobbied for Biden to welcome more left-wing members into his administration, and they have expressed frustration at feeling rebuffed.
Continetti also said he expects Democrats to be unable to pass much legislation even if they win the Georgia Senate runoffs.
