CNN Host: I’m Concerned About Kanye West’s ‘Nonsensical Rants,’ Wonder if It’s Time to ‘Start Worrying’

The rapper defended his support for Trump on SNL over the weekend

CNN host Alisyn Camerota said on Monday that she is concerned about Kanye West's behavior and wondered if it is time to start worrying about the rapper.

"I think it is a little bit uncomfortable, I just am wondering if it’s time to start worrying about Kanye because he does go on, sometimes, nonsensical rants," Camerota said. "He has taken a break, I think, for some stress related issues, so I’m concerned."

West was the musical guest on the most recent episode of "Saturday Night Live" and gave an impromptu speech where he defended his support for President Donald Trump and attacked Democrats for their "plan" to put African Americans on welfare.

"I wanna cry right now, black man in America, supposed to keep what you’re feelin’ inside right now…" West said while wearing Trump's signature "Make America Great Again" hat. "The blacks want always Democrats … you know it’s like the plan they did, to take the fathers out the home and put them on welfare … does anybody know about that? That’s a Democratic plan."

The audience booed West's comments and cast members appeared to be uncomfortable alongside him on stage.

Camerota's co-host John Berman said West described the video as another entertainer "going political."

After his appearance on SNL, West tweeted out a picture of his MAGA hat and talked about how it represented "good."

"This represents good and America becoming whole again.  We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs," West tweeted.  "We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love."

Trump praised West and hit the "no longer funny" SNL.

"Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told "no"), was great. He’s leading the charge!" Trump wrote in a tweet.
