Laura Ingraham's new Fox News show "The Ingraham Angle" premieres Monday night at 10:00 p.m. ET with special guest White House chief of staff John Kelly.

Kelly, a retired four-star Marine Corps general, has appeared at some White House press briefings since becoming chief of staff but has not done many one-on-one, televised interviews since joining the Trump administration. He was formerly Homeland Security secretary before taking over his new role after Reince Priebus was forced out in July.

Ingraham, a veteran radio host and longtime conservative commentator, has pitched her show as a voice for the "heartland."

"Heartland America, you have a champion," Ingraham said in advance of her show. "Working-class Americans, I came from you, and whether you're a Republican or Democrat, your voice will be heard."

Ingraham has said she talks to President Donald Trump by phone, but unlike fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity, she is willing to be critical of Trump at times.

"We are friends, but friends tell friends when they go off course. And I'm sure he'll tell me when he thinks I'm deviating from what's proper and thoughtful. And I'll do the same with him," Ingraham said.

Republican Sen. Mike Lee (Utah) will appear the following hour on the premiere of "Fox News @ Night" with Shannon Bream, Fox News said.
