Megyn Kelly Snubs 'Today' Host During Her First NBC Appearance

June 1, 2017

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly was reporting live from Russia when she made her first live appearance on NBC since moving to the station. Kelly introduced her upcoming interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but completely failed to acknowledge "Today Show" co-host Hoda Kotb.

Kelly on Thursday morning made her first appearance on NBC, the Daily Mail first reported. She called in to the "Today Show" through satellite from St. Petersburg, Russia.

Kelly confirmed that she will be doing her first interview with Putin following the World Economic Forum. The one-on-one interview will take place on Friday.

The new NBC anchor received a warm welcome from "Today" hosts Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, and Kotb. Kelly was equally warm in response, with one exception.

"Hey guys, it's great to be with you, Matt and Savannah," Kelly said, forgetting to name the third host among the group.

Kotb threw her hands up in disbelief before Kelly moved on to discuss the Putin interview. This will be the first time that Putin has taken questions from an American journalist since the appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as a special counsel to investigate possible connections between Russia and the Trump campaign.
